DESCRIPTION

The commission included the design of an Indoor Swimming Pool addition to an Expanded Ranch style home, which sits on a two-acre lot overlooking the Long Island Sound. Two primary design concerns were to create an addition that fit in perfectly with the existing home, and to maximize the views of the Sound along the rear edge of the property. The street façade of the new Swimming Pool Room mirrors that of the existing two-car garage, new exterior materials match the existing, and the Swimming Pool Room culminates in a glassed-in semicircular space with uninterrupted views of the water beyond. The addition includes a connecting hallway with a Shower Room, Sauna and Bar Area, and provides the Clients with the perfect place for an invigorating sunrise swim, all year-round.
