DESCRIPTION

The project entailed various alterations to an existing Tudor style residence, and it was our second collaboration with the Clients. Main elements of the program included: Creating a larger, more open, and brighter Living Room by eliminating a wall between the existing Living and Reading Rooms, and by reconfiguring the fireplace; converting a screened-in porch into a year-round Sun Room; creating a Walk-in Master Bedroom Closet; enlarging an existing third level Bedroom with the addition of a dormer; and incorporating attic space to expand and renovate the third level Bathroom.

The exterior alterations of the Sun Room and dormer are in perfect harmony with and enhance the exterior of the residence. Energy-efficient leaded windows for the Sun Room and dormer echo the original single-pane leaded glass windows throughout the house. New paint colors add to the fresh, lively ambiance that the Clients wanted for their home.
