DESCRIPTION

The project involved partially reconstructing and expanding a 1960’s Short Hills Split Level home that fell victim to hurricane Sandy. Whereas the bedroom and lower levels were spared, the entire main level of the home was crushed by a fallen tree. We restructured and rebuilt the Main Floor and added a new level above. The new Main Level features a two storey Entry Foyer; Powder Room; ample Eat-In Kitchen; Butler’s Pantry; and large Living and Dining Rooms that enjoy the view of the private backyard. The new Upper level includes a Master Suite with Sitting Room, His and Hers Walk-in Closets, and a large Master Bath. We seized the opportunity to reconfigure some spaces on the bedroom level to relocate the Laundry Room from the basement, thrilling the Clients with the new found convenience. We also gave the home a much-needed face lift with a new Portico, windows, roofing, shingle siding and trim.
